Why is it that people seem to find beauty and excitement in destruction? An old house buried in the trees once beautiful and sheltering, now destroyed, vandalised and forgotten. Its quite a shame to think that if we visited this house twenty years ago, the photographs would be far less captivating and we would not find everything as interesting as we did this day, because the destructed remains of a house are for some reason more exciting than a preserved liveable house.
It is rumoured that this dilapidated lake house is one of the paranormal hotspots of Queensland and that it is haunted by a World War II veteran and his children who he murdered before killing himself.
We didn't notice anything unexplainable.
